Hey all, I'm heading out Thursday to hunt wolves. Never done a focused wolf hunt before, so it could be, and likely will be, more comical than successful. But why not give it a try if I have the time?

If any of you have good leads of where to go in the central to northern part of Idaho, I'd appreciate them. Otherwise, it's stabbing in the dark, and going off of marginally reliable hearsay.

Gracias!

Very true. Except for this winter. I have noticed elk much more scattered than usual, with many of them higher up than usual. Haven't looked at the percentages too closely this year, but it's hard to imagine snow pack is normal. Maybe there's lots high up, but the elk are taking advantage of a very mild winter. I'm not complaining about that; hopefully good for calf recruitment. But it makes the "wintering" area a LOT bigger than normal.
