New wall tent advice

I purchased a slightly used Davis Tent 14’x16’ from a gentleman in Colorado in the spring of 2019. I have lived in for around 6 months in southeastern Montana and used it on two extended elk hunting trips. I have owner other brands of wall tents and have lived in multiple types for several months at a time, nothing will beat a Davis tent. I used a larger 16’x20’ rain fly to keep it protected and dry and never had any problems with leaks. They can be set up in less than a hour with one guy. Good luck on your purchase and you can probably find one used on Craigslist or a hunting forum, be sure to see it unpacked and/or set up to avoid and surprises.

Yea, I got a Davis tent that had everything (sunforger, mildew, and fire retardant). I have been using mine for a couple weeks a year, on average, for almost 20 years and took it in for repairs once (~$100 for a couple ember-burned holes and a grommet that was starting to tear out). One of the best investments I have ever made.
Thanks!

Looking for a wall tent, will be my first. I do early and late hunts. Ive been looking at lots of different brands and they sort of look alike and most are priced about the same. Not sure if some are better than others. Saw a older thread that Randy replied to, that was a while ago. Anything changed since then (2011) Mostly for 2 guys, once in a while a 3rd, 10 x12 or 12 x 14? I need to do this right the first time, to darn expensive to screw up
Have a 16x20 with 10ft kitchen plenty of room for 4 hunters. Work great . The problem now is there is just 2 and is take little time to set it up with 2

Whichever way you go, I highly recommend one with a stove outlet. A warm stove makes a huge difference.
