New stock

Hey all,

I'm considering replacing the beat up wooden stock on my 1987 model 70 featherweight .270 with one of the B&C ultralight synthetics. My question is with the barrel contour.

The website only lists varmint and sporter contours. Will the sporter contour stock work for my featherweight? The barrel should be floated anyway no? I could go with a custom McMillan for more than double the cost but i don't think it's necessary.

Sporter will be fine, you'll have some gaps and it may look a little odd near the chamber but it should function fine.
