New New Mexican

Howdy all,
Originally from Texas, but retiring later this year and moving to my cabin in Ruidoso, NM. I've hunted all my life (mostly Texas Whitetail), but since I'm moving I am giving that up to embark on new adventures in the pursuit of elk, mulies and antelope. It's a steep learning curve, but I think I've got a handle on the process. Now it's a matter of putting it all into practice. Wish me luck, please. I'm sure I'll need it.

Yes sir, Lots of elk around there. Even get a few in the yard from time to time. Now if they'd just open up the golf course to elk hunting, I'd be set.

I have pretty good luck finding them with the camera in hand. Hope I can get this lucky when I have a tag and rifle in hand.

As your are a Texan, I highly recommend the steaks at the Texas Club.
