Pretty solid deal for a great pack. I have the beartooth 80 (honestly too large for most of my hunting, but i also backpack with it), and it has been great.

My daughter uses this pack, it's been solid and hauled many critters. Good investment. She shoots more stuff than me. Black Ovis (Same company as Camofire?) has had some great deals lately on their website on MR packs also.

I sure wish they would figure out how to cut the weight closer to half. They are heavy otherwise great.

The weight comes from heavier (and heavier duty) material.

I like that the bag isn't super thin - I imagine the kuiu (or especially UL backpacking) ones in shreds after a pack takes a fall.
