This is a 45 cal Bethlehem County Pa. fouler, circa; 1765. I made a trad for it for the painting I restored with my friend. I was very surprised when he offered the gun. Besides having to convert the lock back to Flint-Lock it is in excellent firing condition. I hope to get to the firing range to see how it shoots before the opener this Friday. With a 40" barrel it should have a great shot pattern.

Dave, you can use about 40gr of black powder, a .410 shot cup. 1/2 oz. or so of # 4 or 5 shot topped with a triple fold of news paper and you're good out to 25/30 yards. Work up from less as with reloads and be safe.

Tarheel - that is an interesting load. Where did you come up with that .410 shotcup and tipping with newspaper?
