I really wana get after a true mirriam in the mountains. I'm thinking new Mexico or maybe colorado? Can anybody weigh in and offer any suggestions?

Yep, a two or three state hunt is easily doable, especially SD and WY, as you can just about camp in one spot near the border to hunt both states.
