MI First Tom

Got my first spring turkey.

Had an exciting start of the season with 3 toms strutting well out of range with I am not sure how many hens. Gobbling regularly for about an hour when like smoke they just vanished. I thought that I had got busted.

An hour later, I hear a gobble off to my right and a couple of minutes later this tom is in full strut within 30 yds. After passing behind a tree allowing me to reposition for the shot, my season was done with this 23# bird with an 8" beard and .75" spurs.

I assumed the MI in the title meant Michigan

Now I feel dumb at first glance I thought the thread said " My first Tom".
