6mm Remington 90 gr. Nosler E-tip at about 3170 fps out of his 6mm Remington. His first elk with one shot at 350 yards! Hit her tight behind her right shoulder and the bullet angled slightly forward and exited the center of her left shoulder. She staggered about 20 yards and tipped over.
Son's second elk at about 100 yards. 300 WSM & 180 gr. Nosler Accubond. Bullet broke ribs going in and broke far side shoulder bone and was recovered under the hide.
Here's the recovered bullet. Looks like it should be a Nosler advertisement!
