got my biggest catfish of the year last evening.... went 14 pounds, that is a 1 liter bottle next too the fish for size reference.....

Some finely ground and sifted yellow corn meal, salt to taste and generous black pepper combined with 350 degree peanut oil and you have something fit to eat. Nice!

We are having some pretty good rains right now Dang it and I can't get out to Catfish! I might go up to one of the area Lakes if my son does not need my help remodeling his house. I bought a new 20' boat the other day for fishing the Big Rivers like the Mississippi and the Red. I upgraded the Motor to a 150 and up sized the trolling moter along with some other goodies. Starting to get in some of the stuff I bought to rig it out. It is an Xpress XP200 Catfish. The "Wing" comes off for Bass fishing. That cat you caught is the perfect guest for a fish fry! John

Hey Randy, you know where to get cats around home? I've heard the mouth of the Tualatin and the Willy above the falls is good, but no one has proven it to me yet.

I was planning a spring time trip to the John Day, but got a job out of state that will prevent it.
