Gastro Gnome - Eat Better Wherever

Im sorry, BrentD.

Must be very fast twist for a lever gun. That takes an 18 twist generally.

In hopes of averting permanent vision damage, I rushed to the basement and fondled my 1895 Marlin .45-70. It was okay, even though I was not. I'm beginning to get some of my sight back, but the world still blurry through the tears.

I'll offer this up for anyone else undergoing similar suffering. If you can get here by Air Medivac, you can also fondle my 1895 and shoot a few rounds if you can recover sufficiently to do so. Anything to help with the catastrophic effects of this.

In the meantime, I'm staying far away from the top of this thread to avoid those pictures. Just thinking of them causes shooting pains and blinding lights in my eyes.
For those will some vision still left, maybe this will help.

I believe this Model is a 20 twist.
I've got some more traditional projects in progress that will help heal your wounds.

As a capitalist and small business owner, I applaud your dedication to customer service and providing a top-shelf product based on the bespoke customizations requested. I am always of the mind that you shouldn't knock someone for taking work, especially when there's a level of artistry and craftsmanship involved. The fit and finish of this one is every bit a work of art as anything else I've seen from you, @p_ham!

However, that does not equate to an appreciation for nincompoop that would request this work. What a maroon.
This type of configuration is becoming more and more popular. I don't get that many through the shop but they all leave with the same attention as everything else.
Dammit-- I just got my rifle back form P_ham and its freaking awesome. All this stuff pisses me off because now I want to send a bunch more rifles to him to make cooler, upgrade. Damit, Quit posting pictures. Its rifle porn and I cant keeping looking at it, it should be flagged.
I'll start giving them *explicit* warnings.

@p_ham -- I've got a vintage M1 Garand in the gun safe. Think you could drill and tap it for a Sightmark red dot, then stick a Pic rail and a flamethrowin' muzzlebrake on it? Would need it cerakoted alien green, of course.

Please be a numbers matching gun w/ provenance.

Got some knives that would really tie the whole thing together

And BenLamb, Shrapnel...

The whole tactical lever thing isn't really my cup of tea but I don't make a habit of saying "no" when a client brings me an idea.

I made the brake, the buttstock is from Chisel Machine, forearm is Midwest Industries, optic mount is Hoptic USA, and it's topped with a Holosun. I'm not sure which model. The gold parts are from Ranger Point Precision.

The fit and finish of all the new manufacture Marlins I've fingered have been very nice.

The Cerakote colors are H-146 Graphite Black and H-237 Tungsten.

Before I saw this thread I didn't know I was supposed to dislike tactical lever guns, and I definitely don't dislike this one! Very cool, nice work, I want it!

You aren't supposed to. But we fans of elderly guns, would hope that you might have been raised to appreciate the tradition and history of blued steel and walnut. :)

Wood/steel lever guns have a soul. Tactical lever guns are basically gingers. There's nothing "wrong" with them, but... ya know - ginger.
