I am about $970 poorer and I couldnt be more excited!
I just bought a NR big game combo license and I am going to be coming to Montana to hunt elk for a few days this month. I have never hunted in Montana, I have no clue where to go (other than a couple of general suggestions that Big Fin was kind enough to make), no idea where I am going to camp, and basically am coming in blind.
Gonna be fun.
The ONLY time I have ever been in the beautiful state of Montana was back in 1999 when I was recruited by a small college in Butte to play basketball there. I ended up choosing not go there.
Anyway, good luck to all and I look forward to coming up.
If anyone has any tips or advice I am all ears. I am looking at this year basically as a glorified scouting trip and an attempt to start learning an area that maybe I can hunt a little more regularly in the future.
