Idaho Trophy Results are out.

Great Joe! My Moose hunt was the funnest hunt I have ever done. Take your time. It's the only hunt that gives you almost 3 months to fill a tag. I wish some of the other trophy hunts did. I didn't draw this year. Oh well.

It will be my ambition this year. I'm so friggin excited!!! I've been dreaming about hunting moose since I can remember. It's a good unit too! 10A-4

I've heard that's a great unit. I don't know that unit very well... Ok... never been there. If your looking for a good size reference mine is 136ish inches with deductions. He would make Pope and Young but not a big deal to me. I measured out of curiosity when someone asked how big he was. So pope and young shoot one same as mine, boone and crockett shoot one just a touch bigger or same size with more symmetry. Good luck!

I'll be chasing moose this Fall too, but in a declining unit (1-4) in terms of numbers. Super excited. The unit is not nearly as good as it was 10 years ago though. I think predation (wolves), and habitat are the main culprits. This is a border unit (N. Idaho/NW MT) and don't think these packs are always counted correctly by either state since their territory coverage spans both.

I love having it on my wall. It's good to draw now. Wolves are really taking some of the big boys out. So if you want a chance at a good one, it's kind of now or never.

I thought it was going to be a rodeo but what else do you do but try? We covered it's eyes and pulled it's legs loose(not an easy task. Even the calves are BIG!) Momma was huffing and puffing and we were ready to RUN! but it ended well. They all walked off and we saw them several other times in the season.1899345_10204035292420320_5765859058552946798_o.jpg Point being the hunt was an adventure all around. Have fun you two! Moose is a GREAT hunt! I wish you the best of luck!

A hot cup of jacksquat for me. The mountain goats are safe from my arrows and bullets for another year (at least). Congrats to those who drew!

Congrats to all who drew look forward to some adventure post in the fall. Makes me wish I hadn't skipped out on ID this year.

Last year I drew moose, this year my wife drew moose. I think Idaho figured out how to get their tag fees and not add a bull to the hunter take. Like selling inventory while keeping it on the shelf.
