Lake trout bait... cut the fillet off each side and use it too catch 30"+ lake trout.....

Those perch are awesome. I had to laugh a bit when I saw how big they were next to the rainbow carp. But... The "Chinese Whistle Trout" comment had me spitting beer.

We just had an ice fishing contest/fundraiser for our gun club this past weekend. The biggest fish was 8.25" perch. The only other 4 fish that were caught were the size of my thumb.

When's dinner? A few years back I caught some bluegills and perch on the same trip. Cooked them the same way and did a taste test. The perch made the bluegills taste like garbage. And, perch don't get worms.
