Driving in-state with a 32 gallon tank, and these gas prices = exceeds $1k. (and I am not a road hunter)
Tags (elk/deer/goat) for '11 = $121 might pick up a bear tag too?
Processing = $200 (Elk are taken to the pros. The i-don't-knows i.e. we do the deer and goat OYO and buy suet, seasonings, casing, packaging)
Ammo / Food / Booze = (should be free), but will run another ~$3-500.

I haven't pulled the trigger on my rifle since Sept,19,07 and with the kids it has cost me
between 5-8k a year. This year I'm back behind the scope with a friendly family competition between me and my kids. It's a go big or go home year. I'm trying to get one of my kids hooked up with a Taxidermist's daughter so the costs can come down a little.:)
