I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I live and hunt in NM. I got a pair of Danner Vital 8" non-insulated boots, but they're incredibly hot on my feet. I'm sure the temperatures down here in southern NM don't help that, but is there anything I can do to cool my feet or help keep them dry? I've tried layering socks, different fabrics, wool socks, wool socks + liner, and none of it works. I now take multiple pairs of socks but it seems they just get wet too fast. To give an idea how warm they are, if I wear them to work my feet get hot...and I drive a desk for a living.
Any ideas?
I'm wondering if it is possible I somehow got a mis-labeled pair of insulated boots, as they feel comparable in warmth to a pair of 400G Lacrosse boots I have.
