No I have left three messages on his cell phone and he hasn't called back.

I will try again this weekend. I had only met him in Larsen bay and there found out he lives 15 miles from me.
 
He's probably still filling out the 30 pounds of paperwork required in DLP (defense of life and property) cases. F&G likes to make sure it's a legitimate case. You know no bullet holes in the south end of a north facing bear, not a camera full of trophy shots, the hide and skull are intact (no claws or teeth missing that could be used as a trophy), etc. It needs to be done so people aren't coming here to get there picture taken with a bear they shot because it "looked" like it was going to charge them.
