Leaving from ND Tuesday morning headed for Lolo zone. Looks like I will be driving through some weather, for those that know would it be better to go through Lolo hot springs or head to St. Regis and go in that way?

I missed this post earlier. How did your hunt go?

Anyone from ND should able to handle Lolo Pass. Both beautiful drives. Lolo Pass is open year round, the St Joe River run can be closed at the summit for snow. The St. Regis to St Maries run always seems to be WAY longer than you remember it from the last run. Gravel on the Montana side. They are just tougher than we are in Idaho.

Coming in from the Lolo side you will see lots of Lewis and Clark historical signage along the USFS roads, even up on top of 12. Also signs about the Nez Perce trail.

Hope you had a good trip.
