I'm jumping on Ben's weekly tradition with this weeks edition of Gun Porn Wednesday.

M1 Garand and 1903A3 to get rolling

The M1 was a DCM (before the OCMP) purchase for $125.00 I then sent it to Roland Beaver a retired Marine armorer in Bald Knob Arkansas to convert into a National match configuration.

The 1903A3 was a restore to shoot project with a C stock.

I'd love a Garand. Have a photo of my grandfather in Germany holding his Garand after a chamois hunt.

Took a whitetail doe last night with the 450 3.25 BPE. It was a little too much gun, I think.

A cloverleaf group could still be 1" Ben.;)

Not a gun yet, but just made the deal last night on this full DWM Mauser large ring action and Boyd's stock for the lowly sum of $125.00. Don't even have to pay shipping, just drive 17 miles to Charlotte and pick it up. I have the barrel already, a medium profile .280, so it's time to start polishing, bluing and marrying all the pieces.

Tarheel, that is theft at $125.:D I have two 1909 DWM Argentines that are going to end up as 30-06's for my two boys. Now I just need a lathe, got any of those for $125!

Colt Frontier

This is similar to the Colt Lightning that can be seen in the famous picture of Billy the Kid, except that it is chambered for .41 Colt instead of .38 Colt. I didn't even know that there was a .41 Colt until I was gifted this gun.

That's the Thunderer. I love those pistols. What a magnificent gift!
