I've been looking through the various threads on this forum for anyone's input on these broadheads with elk and can't seem to find too much information. I know there is an almost knock-down-drag-out argument coming from both the mechanical and fixed blade side of the argument, but I'm open to anyone's suggestions.
I have used the Razortip to kill three whitetails back in Iowa, but have yet to attempt bowhunting on anything larger, especially elk. I'm not new to bowhunting, but the amount of knowledge on this site is vastly superior to mine so I am open to opinions and any information people may have on success or lack of success with these broadheads. Thanks fellas.

I dropped a 400lb black bear with them. So I would think they will work well with Elk too..

Go with a good fixed fixed blade (slik trick, shuttle t, wac 'em) with sharp blades and arrow weight of 450-500 grains and you won't have a problem. You can probably get away with a mechanical but why risk it?
