Great CA season!!

We had a great season in CA this year. I was able to get two first time archery hunters their bucks and we managed a few great bucks in rifle season. I am sorry to see it come to an end. I took my friends daughter out for her first deer hunt and she was lucky. She is only 14 years old and she arrowed her first buck and then killed a great rifle buck. We are allowed 2 buck tags per year and we made good use of them. I also got some great pics of the bucks that were around the day before archery started. I had several oppertunities to shoot him with a bow but I really want to see what he looks like next year. Our season is closed so as long as he makes it through the mountain lions I should see him again.

Very nice!! I'd have whacked that spike buck on first site, way cool!! Are those considered blacktails? If so, I really need to get over that way!

Blacktails are on the west side of hwy 5 everything east is muley and since Merced is east of 5 they're muleys----
