I have a pair of Cabelas gaiters I bought for upland a few years back, they are pretty bulky. Anyone use the Sitka gaiters? Any other recommendations? Thanks!

Outdoor Research Crocodiles. Tough and lightweight.

These last me exactly one season of hiking/hunting here... I'm on my 4th pair, only because everything else I tried made it about one trip. I had a pair of Mountain Hardware that made it 3 days before they blew about 4 seams. Some of the brush (dwarf birch) and rocks are really hard on gaiters/seams.

I really like the OR Flex-tex gaiters.

They're so light and breathable that I end up wearing them at least 7-8 months out of the year, whereas my heavy kenetreks are only useful in the really deep snow. The OR ones work great for keeping ticks, cheatgrass and rain out, but not hot enough to keep you from wearing them when it's seventy degrees out.

Huntech gaiters are what a lot of guys over here think is about
the benchmark. I've had a pair for a few years and still
going strong.

I like my Kenetreks, but other than some junk Cabelas's brand they are the only ones I've owned.
