The other day I got invited to do some fishing at a pay trout stream in SWVA for "business development" purposes. Seemed like a great excuse to get out of the office for a day. It was fun and I got to fish with a few new folks, but the fishing was little slow and not really my style so I bowed out after lunch. I rode over to a nearby wild trout stream, but wasn't too impressed with what I saw, I faced the dilemma of heading back to work or finding another spot... Decided to make a run over to a warmwater stream that is fast becoming one of my favorites. Luckily the storms the horizon stayed there and I was happy that I made the run. Caught a bunch of fish and saw a coyote, geese, wood ducks, deer, and turkeys. Even though turkey season is still in, my love for standing in a river waving a stick trumped going for an armed hike, especially on an 85 degree day.
