First time Colorado mule deer bow hunt 444

Hello all, I'm from Michigan and will be heading to zone 444 this Sept. To try my hand at finding a shooter. I have never hunted mountains before but have lots of experience hunting whitetail deer in Michigan. I was wondering if high country is best this that time of year or just for any tips in general, things to bring that will make life easier, where the deer may be this time of the year, areas of the zone that are known to have lots of deer, ranges to expect to shoot from. Anything offered would be Greatly appreciated. I do plan on hiking in and camping. Thank you all very much for any information!
