The last two times running the dogs I've come up with sheds. A small 4 point the other day and today the first matched set of the year. My son and I found the matched set about 3 feet from each other. I let the dogs get a real good sniff of the fresh set and we continued walking through the bushes. Before long Piper pulled a point on what I figured was a bird and when Nixon got there he pulled a retrieve on an old deer skull. Piper points bones and Nixon delivers what a combo. Any how they're not the biggest but they are the first of the year for me. If that browtine wouldn't have been broke off the matched set would have scored large.
