I had to spend most of the day at work, but it was not all bad! I found these two badgers less than 10 feet from our main runway digging new homes ( the big male was actually throwing dirt on the edge of the runway) All I had with me was a .22, but today seemed to work just fine!

All I get to shoot next to our runway (safety area) are skunks, coyotes, and deer. Those badgers aren`t too big, but they would do some damage to any aircraft if hit, if not worse!

In the last week and a half we have killed 5 and I have seen at least that many still running around! The male I shot was decent sized, the female was small, the one I have my eye on is twice the size of the male I shot, this one is HUGE!

.22 works fine on badgers as long as you shoot them in the BACK of the head. I was amazed to see one ricochet off a frontal headshot!
