Elk Antlers on a Moose?

This moose definitely has a different set of antlers. Looks more like an elk configuration!

Maybe just lack of palmation. Now if I could now find an elk with a moose rack!

In my experience young bulls tend to have little palmation and longer tines. Should fill out in the next couple years.

He needs to make sure he makes his body visible at the same time as his antlers to any hunters in the area, hope no one does a mistaken identity on him

I saw one very similar to that last year. I had the tag, but just walked away shaking my head. I had been tracking him for quite some time.

Judging from the size of that little bean bag he's got hangin in your first pic, I would say it's just poor genetics . I've seen a couple that look similar to this, but not as wide/long.

He looks like a bruiser. Just no palms.

That's definitely different. He's pretty cool looking and looks mature to me.
