Hey gents...so I'll be hunting Idaho OTC for deer this year again and on my way back to Texas I'd like to hunt second season mule deer in Colorado.
Currently sitting on 6 points for Colorado mule deer and I'm wanting to cash them in this year, I know I'll be throwing points away for a second season hunt but I'm ok with that. The plan is to start building points with my dad so we can get a few hunts in while he still has some hunting left in him.
I know I can draw a third season tag but my time is limited and I can hunt a second season unit on my way back from my Idaho hunt, getting two hunts in one trip.
Currently torn between a second season unit 22 hunt or a unit 6 hunt. Has anyone hunted 22 in recent years, I've heard the gas/oil drilling has a lot of the unit locked up. I have not been able to find much info on unit 6 for mule deer. Anyone have any info on either of these units they are willing to share?
