I have enough points to draw this tag for rifle seasons 1 - 4. I usually hunt 3rd season over the counter so I am pretty familiar with where to look for bulls in this season. I do like the idea of going early because the weather may be better. I plan to do alot of scouting this summer to get familiar with the unit. I may use horses if I think it will make things easier. Looking for advice from anyone who has hunted this unit. That includes you Big Fin. I have watched your unit 61 video about 12 times now.

wouldnt pass up 1st season if had the points...only thing better than hunting elk in September is hunting ‘em in October. And No deer hunters in first season.
