If something goes weird with your car for no apparent reason.....like the cruise control going out for no apparent reason, the check engine light coming on and the anti-skip light doing the same.... Do a You-Tube search on your model/make/ year car, before you run to an Auto Mech.
All the above happened to my Outback a couple of days ago and I found several videos under my search queries.
Turns out it was just a loose gas cap! I hadn't tightened it down enough the last time I filled up.
I gave it a firm nudge and Presto !! Took 2 on/off's but Yep! Back on the road $XXX still in the bank.

Yep, there is really no need to know or learn anything anymore - just YouTube it. I check YouTube pretty much anytime I have a vehicular issue, it can certainly be very helpful
