Per the AZ State Land Board’s Interactive Map, a parcel of land near where I hunt is under an Ag Lease (presumably cattle - seen cattle grazing there before).

State Land Board website says that lands that are leased for ag, mining, etc are not open to recreational use. Is that referring to hunting or is it referring to recreational use permits that are required for many other activities?

I plan to call tomorrow and will post my findings here but wanted to see if anyone has already researched this.

Confirmed with the land board that you can NOT hunt land that is Ag leased. Ag leases and leases for grazing are two different things. Ag Leasing is typically for farming whereas Grazing Allotments are just that...for grazing. The crappy part for my spot is that the Ag Lease is very clearly not being used for farming but is being used for horses/cattle. However, the lease is still recorded as an Ag Lease so I'm SOL.
