I have a Mossberg three shot bolt action 410 that has a slight bulge in the barrel 17 inchs from the chamber.Has any one ever had a bulge in the barrel repaired ?Thinking of try to do it myself . Any sugjestions ?
I don't think you NEED to do anything!
Way back the first year the feds required us to use steel, I did. No problem.
The SECOND year how ever... The shells I had left and over wintered some of them build up moisture and the shot rusted together, Making a STEEL SLUG. I to have a "Slight" bulge in my 12 gauge.
However many years ago was that ? Anyway I still use it as is and never had an issue .
I reload now and I load top PSI and speed, and load .
Just my thoughts
