Have been after this guy for two years now. Do to weather conditions and health issue's he's been given a little reprieve. After a little surgery in August and an extensive rehab my son and I decided it's time to ramp up the effort. Spotted him way up a drainage right in the rocks above treeline at 7:00am. 2-1/2 hours and 3500ft higher we cut a sheep trail and headed directly into the wind still a 1/2 mile away. About 300 yrds to the cut and the wind switched and picked up to about 40 mph. We made the last 300 yrds and dropped over the last hump and started looking for him. Well he showed himself 850 yrds down the mountain and the safety of the timber. Two days and a combined 15,000 vertical and 3 miles of horizontal sheep trails with only 2 sightings.
