Billings area Muley hunt 2017

A friend of mine asked for your help in he is planning a trip to the Billings area for Muley next year. He's an older gentleman who is hoping for some good info on a good location and some sights to see in the area besides. I know the post is vague, but like I said, it's not really for me. I've never been and it's not in the cards for me to tag along. Thanks all.

I agree with the responses there are better places to hunt in Montana

The plains from Mosby up toward the Missouri River and east into the breaks would be my suggestion there is lots of block management and BLM. I've had many good hunts up there. Miles City east and south works too. Tell him to be very careful if there is rain or snow. Both areas get slicker than snot and most gravel becomes impassable when wet. I've spent a few extra days out there over the years waiting for things to dry out.
