Not really that dangerous. Typically the people who have this kind of reaction are either "Safety police", have little experience archery antelope hunting, or assume it is to be used during rifle season.

Damn safety police. Always screwing up things. They need to shut their mouth. Whoever said safety first was a blowhard. Safety is not first. Known fact safety is fifth.

No hunter would blast away without 100% confirmation of target. Nope. Proudly wear that animal hat, work that gobbler call, hike around with a turkey slung over your shoulder or a set of antlers pointing up in the air from your pack. I trust other hunters the same way I trust other drivers on slick roads. They would not have a license unless were beyond question. None of them walk around with a round in the chamber. None of them drive around with a loaded rifle. We can read the rules, duh.

LOL, good grief. Amazing how a thread selling an antelope decoy gets derailed by people talking about getting shot in the face and who pays for funeral costs or the last gem of a post. Gotta love the interwebz.

If Randy or anyone else wants to hunt with a decoy hat it's their choice. After watching the video again I do not think Randy's life was in any more danger due to the hat but everyone is entitled to their opinion.
