What do you think of this? It seem like anti's taking advantage of some danger in feeding animals idea to me. It says 25% of the harvest of black bears in AK is off of bait. 9 states still bait bears, it says. Any safety data you know of?
They get 5 bear tags in Alaska trying to control bear populations, don't they? What do you think?

If the greenies like CUBB's Maury Mason, whom I'm quite sure is a city boy, claim that this is really a public safety issue, then show me the numbers!

Show me the evidence, the case studies, the eyewitness reports that baited bears have threatened or injured people in Alaska.

Just so you know--bait stations must be registered with very detailed location information/directions. They may not be within 1 mile of an occupied dwelling or place of business, or within 1/4 mile of roads/trails and and increasing number of rivers. Basically they have to be way out of the way.

Its possible that a person could get hurt by a baited bear but very unlikely.

Also the limit is up to 3 depending on the GMU
