Are the nonpermit javelina areas worth checking out? Headed to Az with the family in April and considered taking my 2 oldest boys (7 &5) out to try to find a javelia. It would likely just be a one day excursion. I’m just wondering if it’s a complete waste of time and money? Otherwise plan B is to go shed hunting for a day.

They do have some javelina, but they can be difficult to locate, as their population is very low. I live in one of those areas and I’ve seen them once.

just go shed hunting with a javi tag in your pocket. Would be a great adventure for you and your boys

Thus guaranteeing that you will see multiple herds of javelina at close range. I'm not from Arizona, and I've never seen a javelina, but I know how that works.
