Went much better than SEMO !
In spite of lousy weather, too hot, 50 yd visibility Sat with no wind, high totally overcast clouds with min wind Sun and total overcast high clouds with some wind Mon, we took 69 ducks and 12 Specs.
Pit, low profile in levy with flooded rice on one side and flooded beans on other. Six guns Sat and Sun but one was my AR buddies significant other on her first duck hunt with her new 20 gauge for birthday two weeks ago and another was 16 year old shooting for only third time. Three guns, including 16 year old Mon. Hunted til around 11:00 Sat and Sun and 9:00 Mon.
Bag included 1 Black Duck, only 6 mallards, 2 Widgeon, 4 Grays, 7 smileys and the rest were GW's.
My buddy is doing his own operation for first time this year. He is about 10 miles from DeWitt and 25 miles fron Stuggart. Reasonable rates. Website is www.smackinquack.com
