Can an adult and minor with different numbers of PPs be on a party ap?

My son has 2 youth points and my hunting pard has 1 and they both want a buck tag in the same area.

Along with that, do points accumulated as a minor carry over into adulthood?

It is nice to be able to purchase points as a discount for a youth. My daughter will join the pool this year as she turns 12.
