Haven't been out hunting as much as I have wanted to, then again who ever does, so I decided to take a day off last week just to get out.

I remembered I had my first swan tag and hadn't even gotten out yet so we gave it a try.

All and all, it turned out to be a good day. :)

For a size reference (these things are HUGE):

Must be one of those swans from the 'hood with all the jewelry it had. :)

Thats a nice bird, I saw a bunch of them go over head a couple days ago when I was in the field, very beautiful birds indeed

Kudo's to your trophy :)

I saw a large group of Swans last weekend while I was out. I usually don't see them. Congrats, those things are big !

Still waiting to see what the stats are from the band.

As for big, what an understatement! The wingspan was just shy of 7 feet from tip to tip and there must have been at least an inch of down and feathers on the breast. Needless to say they can take some punishment.
