A visit with Dad...........

Onpoint you made me think of my blind luck. Below are links to photos of my 83 year-old father this past August. One is with me (you can see he isn't used to selfies). The pictures are from an annual family fishing trip where we've traveled the West (public land, of course) over the past thirty years. Unfortunately, I didn't snap a photo of my 89 year-old uncle in action who is always along and insisting he fish by himself.

Dad was out again this past Thursday with three of my brothers--apparently complaining they weren't giving him enough space (smile). We'll have him out two more times this month angling and once for grouse.

He taught me more than I can recall about life and a love and respect for being outdoors. I think the best way to thank him is passing along to other younger people the lessons and hope he can do it personally for years to come.
