I went to see “A history of violence” Saturday, highly recommended by the family movie critic.
A very well made and acted movie. I liked it. Some brief, but intense violence, and some sex.
It is the story of a man and his family living a Norman Rockwell life in small mid western town.
When the hero (?) Tom is forced to defend himself, he quickly and proficiently dispatches two would be killers. Suddenly, he is a hero, but questions arise as to how and where this mild mannered local man learned to fight and shoot like a trained professional. When the mafia shows up, even his loving wife starts to wonder “who is this guy I married” ?

Uhh? I thought it was good and how many noses jammed through the brain qualifies for an action movie? It will be a great rental.

Yeah, sure there was a little "action," just didn't seem like your typical action movie to me. I would expect a lot more action from a movie in the action category, but that's just me.
