Since I got done with deer hunting earlier than expected I asked my buddies Ron and Monty about hunting doves.

I'd never shot doves before, but have always wanted to.

We had a good morning hunt with the three of us taking our limits. I hadnt done any wing shooting in several years, but did pretty well with my Browning BPS in 28 gauge. My best shooting was 5 in row.

Anyway, it was sure fun.

Ron, Monty, and I with the birds.

Dude!

Is there ever a week that goes by that you aren't out hunting, fishing, or having an otherwise kick-butt time?

Wow, 5 in a row. Not sure I have ever been that good on doves. Something about ranging them and estimating the speed makes it very difficult to hit those little buggers. But, my 28" barrel with a full choke usually is the best choice. Very few cripples, when you do hit one.

WTH? it isn't September yet! A good dove shoot would a lot better than shoveling snow. That's good shooting after such a long break, especially with a 28!

Ok Buzz, now that you have had a taste, time to head a little further south and have some real fun.
