spent Saturday out in the field. Had found a good field that was holding a bunch of birds the afternoon before. We knew that they were not coming off of the water until 10 am every day. So unlike most goose hunting trips we didn't even leave town until 8:30 am after a leisurely breakfast and cup of coffee. Setup and ready to hunt by 9:15 and first birds appeared right on time at 10 am. Done with a three man limit by 11 am and back home by noon. Other then the fact that it was -5 when we got there it was a very good hunt.

Here is a pair that come in an never had a chance to leave.

First time using a goose chair. We have just had alot of problems with layouts on sunny days. seems like they cast a shadow the birds don't like. So against my better judgement my buddy brought three goose chairs with us and man did they work. The birds didn't even circle to commit to landing.

So that is where all our geese are hanging out. Nice job NEMont. Hope you get a bunch more before season closes.

Congrats!

It is official..............................bird hunters are a little bit out of of touch. -5 for flying rats:D Insanity.

Nemont,
Congrats! Great pic's. We used to do the same thing, no hurry go have breakfast, go set up deeks. We also had good luck later with Goose chairs. The birds were like clock work, we were close enough to the river we could hear them getting ready for lift off. Done by noon. Dosen't get much better than that.
