I can't seem to get enough of the WY lope threads. Our 2020 trip.

Evening 1, awesome sunset.

Morning #1, first real day. Looked over 15 bucks by about noon. My buddy couldn't take it any
longer, 1/3 mile stalk and 1 shot later and he's hooked!

My view:

Buck down! 300 yard drag to the 2 track.

Dropped his buck off at a local butcher. Back to glassing by late afternoon. Looked over another 15 bucks,
nothing bigger than about 12". Back to camp.

Day 3 started out with a big ass breakfast burrito.

Saw a buck and 8 does immediately once we left the pavement. After he finally turned his head,
knew we needed to get a closer look over breakfast.

My 2020 WY Buck!

Quartered and then a 600 yard walk back to the pickup. His cutters were 6 1/8" and 7"! Most of the bucks in Idaho literally forget prongs.

Man, nothing like antelope hunting. Stopped counting at about 200 head and 25 +/- bucks a day.

Took a drive up to see the famous area 100 elk. Talk about a trip, seeing elk thrive in the sage like that.
Of course impossible to draw, but would be a downright awesome hunt. Hopefully someone on HT
has a tag!

3 herds, 125 head and about 15 bulls in an hour of glassing from the pickup. One looked to be a
real nice bull, but didn't take the time to get closer.

They're damn sure pretty:

It wouldn't be a hunting trip if we didn't see a 16" buck on the way out of town, but didn't slow down for pictures
for our own sake. Thanks Wyoming, we'll be back!
