Heading west 2nd rifle for elk in co. Will be nice ride from Southern jersey.
Does anyone know if camp grounds in white river nat. Forest will be open.

I am going to that area tomorrow for the first season, there is a heavy snow advisory starting Wednesday through Friday. So, you can camp. But, I am unsure of how much snow there will be and could limit access. I would start watching the weather for that area and make your decision from there.

Don't think any federal "facilities" including campgrounds will be open until the government goes back to work.

Might look for a state camp ground or some other place to pull off the road.

My plan B would be a little west of Meeker on a small piece of public land which I hunted in the past during bow . Thanks for the heads up.

The forest will be open, but campgrounds are closed. There is still dispersed camping.
