I finally got around to finishing my mulie from 2007. It turned out well, though there are always a few flaws and things I would do differently. It's part of the learnig process I guess. I also mounted two other deer for friends this year. One was a 173 gross WT taken SE of Bismarck and the other a 157gross mulie taken on a Block Management area in Eastern MT.
I was lucky enough to draw a rifle tag in ND's best mule deer unit for this fall, the same area I scout all summer and archery hunt. I had no bonus points and beat 3% draw odds. I still can't beleive it as I have never been that lucky in the past!! Between archery and rifle hunting I am hoping to get another one for the wall.
Three weeks from Friday and we will be archery hunting here!!! Good luck to everyone this season.
