Here is some dialogue on the proposed bill. "Whitetails are a noxious weed"

I am pretty sure the bill sponsor has a ranch in the Devils Tower area and he has a bunch of whitetails on it or at least did before quite a few of them died off.
I would like to know how much the WY game and fish makes in interest holding the money. I don't have any problem with them doing it...just curious. Hope they use it for habitat, feeding, etc.
I know you are asking Buzz but i traveled through that part of WY this fall and the herds were almost none existent compared to past trips. Ma nature was a bitch to the animals in 2023.
Being from ND and hunting MT as well, i could not agree more. MT used to be special, seeing hundreds of deer and antelope daily. Not anymore. They really need to take some herd inventory and cut the tags. Its sad to see the low number of critters.
I just got back from a Region 7 antelope hunt. I saw a total of 2 whitetails and 17 mule deer. I put on over 400 miles in the truck during prime times. MT deer and antelope herds are bleak at best imo.
I hope you are wrong as that is some very nice country to be out in. Hopefully they reanalyze the tags given out and cut them way back....i am not going to hold my breath though.
