    300 Win Mag + H4831 Powder Charges?

It’s not exactly the same powder, but I shoot IMR4831 under 200 grain accubonds, or partitions. Charge of 65.2 grains.

    Reloading question

IMR 4831 over a 200 grain Nosler accubond or a partition. My Venture shoots sub MOA if I do my part. I can say the accubonds hit like freight trains at almost 300 yds. I came down to I think 65.2 grains of powder for the sweet spot. That is actually several grains off of MAX if my memory serves...

Any new fitness goals for the 2018 season?

Been back on a steady diet of no sweets, and I catalog everything I eat in the My Fitness Pal app. Helps a ton. I really only need to lose like 10 lbs. sidearm caliber in bear country

44 mag is what I carry. Best advice I have been given was by my uncle. He said " make sure you can outrun your hunting partner, no need trying to outrun the bear." I found it comical, but also realized that he was joking.

    Copper Plated Handgun Bullets

I loaded 1000 Berry's plated bullets for 40sw. Mostly for a coworker, but I ended up keeping around 200 rnds at no cost to me but my time. We both shot them with excellent results. I had read to keep them at or near lead bullet velocities so that's what I did. Work great!

    Montana Spring Bear Timing Question

I will give my two cents on the topic. Take it for what its worth. Last year I went on a Montana bear hunting trip near Thompson Falls, MT. I went the first week of the season which was around May 1. I did have a guide (I had never been out west before or bear hunting before) and spent a ton of...

    Muzzleloader Scope

I have had a Bushnell Sportsman on my muzzleloader for over 10 years. It is just a fixed 4x32. Always holds zero, never fogs, and makes for a handy package on my Knight MK85. I think I paid $25.00 for it at Cabelas when I got it. As far as shooting light, my Bushnell Sportsman is no Leupold, as...
