    Getting active in conservation

I have been what I would call a quasi-passive member in the conservation side of our would for awhile now. I’m a member of several organizations and follow state politics and converse to my Representative when I come across legislations that effect sportsman and sportswomen. I am curious if...

    Mule Deer Scoring/Pictures

My opinion is that pictures can be deceiving. The best thing that you can do, in my opinion, is grab whatever deer you can an try measuring them up. By putting the tape to bone for your self you will start to recognize which characteristics make a deer measure up to certain sizes.

Is Counting Inches Killing Deer Hunting? Dec 17, 2018 by Brodie Swisher

I score every animal that I shoot, no matter the size. I don't have a score that I am chasing but I would prefer to shoot larger animals as most likely they will be more mature. I personally use the score as a way to explain the size of my animals, not as a bragging point but as a point of...

    The aniversy deer

Well it's my Wife and I's 10 year anniversary. Since it's one of the big ones I asked her what she wanted to do... and she suggested that we go to Nebraska on a deer hunt! I couldn't ask for a better woman to spend my life with, not only does she understand that hunting is my passion but she...

    Montana whitetail

Well done. Great job on the release... its things like this that the anti-hunters never see or hear about, how many of them would risk injury to get an agitated animal out of a fence for no more reason than it was the right thing to do. Well done indeed!!

    Ideas

I always do a tenderloin cook for a post harvest meal. They dry out so quickly that I prefer to cook them as soon as I can... plus they taste great!!
